🏈 Virginia at Clemson, L, 48-31, 4-3 (2-2 ACC), Saturday, 19 October 2024, 1200, ACCN

The contrast in effective play calling is so evident. Clemson more talennted but they are being methodical in their attack. Putting themselves into managable situations not trying to out talent Virginia

Defense continues to step up in the red zone. Would be nice if the offense did too.

Was gonna comment on this as well. And Clemson fans aren’t too fond of Garrett Riley either, but the difference in reasonable playcalling based on the down and distance is so stark even after one drive.

Obviously they have a lot more talent than us but still, doesn’t excuse us stalling drives via shit calls.

Exactly Klubnek bailed them out on the 3rd and 4 but over all Riley has set them up well. Easy pass on first sets up 2nd and medium solid run on 2nd set up 3rd and short then its just execute on 3rd with all the playbook at your feet

Clemson crowd seem dead. Advantage Hoos

Outside of Fields and maybe Neville, the pass catchers are bad.

Why do we run that play on that side of the hash

2nd and 1 inside the 10 and you end up with zero yards on the next two plays. I’m tired of Des.

4th n 1 at the 3 and we take the FG.
FGs ain’t gonna win this game. Weak call.

Got too cute on the 3rd down call. PA to the short side with only 1 option too easy for clemson to cover. Esp out of the I. Got to make the D think

We keep trying these dumb ass QB Power sets out of shotgun with Brosterhaus, I understand he’s the best guy on our roster for the tush push but goddamn he looks awful on these power plays. Gets zero forward movement once he’s met by a tackler.

Agreed. Run that play with Pace.
