For as terrible as we just played Iāll take being tied at half. We have a lot of adjusting to do strategically. But this team has the potential to be really good.

Pretty good momentum for us being tied at half. Couldāve easily gone the other way the last couple minutes and been down 10. We have to feel happier about where we are than they do right now

That could have been a really deflating end to the half. Thank goodness FSUās shooters are also brick city outside McCray and Scar.
That might be the worst spot on the floor to try to get a decent shot.

Spatola tends to hyper fixate on one thing thatās usually wrong and doesnāt have any conributions beyond that (I.e FSU being the aggressor this game). Outside of that heās been asked things like:
āWhat does Virginia need to do to close this half?ā

Right. How do you not know okay we call a timeout as soon as we catch the rebound if they miss? The little things matter so much. Itās what makes great teams great.

feel like that half was FSUās A+ game on defense. bit fortunate theyre not shooting well. have to hope Odom can make a few adjustments at halftimeā¦theyre being so aggressive on defense there has to be a way to exploit that

Iām just gonna say it: For weeks now Iāve been scratching my head, asking wtf is wrong with this team - despite ALL OF THE MISTAKES, somehow we continue to not only stay in games, but win them. Where a lot of fundamentals are floundering, we have to give this team credit for mental toughness.
