White and Mallory’s ability to fight off ball screens defensively is so glaring compared to Hall and Thomas. White does need to stop closing out so tight on the perimeter though, feel like he’s got a bad habit of fouling three point shooters.
A personal 0-3 from 3 for Thomas is a rough way to start a game.
I like that he’s still shooting though, and also looking for offense off the dribble.
In the Nova exhibition, no one was particularly good at picking up the ballhandler and applying full court pressure, but Thomas was obviously the worst at it, followed by Hall. Lewis was probably the best but iirc he only did it once or twice.
White for pg!
Onyenso doing a really nice job in drop coverage.
Surprised to see the alternate jerseys back to back! Unless… can I dream, are we DONE with the jerseys from the previous four years?!?
Only thing I miss is the gold natty tag,
Onyenso dominating
Offensive rebounds!! ![]()
Really, that was an alley-oop pass from White to Onyenso, not a missed shot.
it is pretty cool having two coordinated seven footers
The twin towers seem to be working together decently well so far, albeit against not super-threatening competition.
Just keep feeding my man Onyenso!
Also, NC Central should petition the NCAA for a waiver in which any student who plays D-1 hoops at takes at least three credit hours in either semester must play a minimum of 10 games for NC Central and every game for NC Central when both of said player’s games are on the same night.
This 250% lead feels more like a 72% lead
Offense bogging down a little with Hall initiating the offense.
Edit - Hall trying to slap the ball off the NCCU player was fun even if it didn’t work.
Hall doesn’t lack vision, he just lacks that quick first step and handle to capitalize often enough to open those looks.
Kinda feels like a shooting drill more than a game at times.
That was a painfully ugly offensive possession, but we did get a lot of rebounds.
malik been rough tonight. love the double big lineup
