Big snow day with a big Saturday game against UNC while the hoos are rolling would have been an all time great day in undergrad. Jealous of the youths

My big snow game (not that it was that high profile because we werenāt good, but was still a really fun snowy environment) was ruined by Al Farouq Aminu and that mediocre Wake team. Oh well. Hope this snow game is better.

Saw this AM that models are showing at least in Richmond that the heavy snowfall wonāt start until overnight on Saturday.
The largest impact may be on any planned visitors. Getting there may not be an issue, but getting back will be a challenge that maybe some folks look to avoid. Which would be a shame.
Hope all of the pageantry and coordination is outsourced from staff. Donāt need any distractions

- Ty - looks to be close to coming back from injury soon. Grizz play at home Friday night and Sunday afternoon. Would be a tough ask if heās truly almost ready after missing all season.
- Huff - OKC Friday evening game. Donāt see that travel really making sense. No game on Saturday or Sunday though. Maybe.
- Dunn - Friday night in ATL but would need to be back in PHX for a Sunday night game. Not happening.
- Gill - play in Charlotte at 6p. Think Wiz may be fine with him being a healthy scratch.
- Hauser - Friday night in Brooklyn. Saturday night in Chicago. Not happening.
- Hunter - game Friday night in Cleveland and again on Saturday in Orlando.
- TMIII -Friday night in Memphis, Sunday night jn San Antonio.
European/Asian guys in season (notable): Justin Anderson, Mamadi, Kihei. Devon Hall, Key, Tobey, London

In conference play, UNC is a poor manās SMU: ACC opponents have taken 51.3% of their shots from 3 against them and shot 44.9% on 3s. 2nd worst defense in ACC play by T-Rank (only FSU has been worse): T-Rank - Customizable College Basketball Tempo Free Stats - T-Rank
Wilson and Veesaar have been good for them all-season and in ACC play. Trimble has been fine. But everyone else has been middling-to-disappointing; itās not really clear who #4 and #5 in their crunch time lineups should be. Against Cal it was Derek Dixon and Jaydon Young, against Stanford it was Jarin Stevenson and Kyan Evans.

Jeez weāre 11 point favorites for this on Torvik right now and a little over that on Haslametrics.
Figured weād be favored, but double digits seems like a lot. I guess thatās what happens when you basically donāt play defense.
Iāll be interested to see where Vegas actually puts it

Straight up RPI says UVa wins every game except Dukeā¦ I know itās not a great metric as it as wrong on several games earlier in the seasonā¦

Iām hoping we can keep our focus through this cupcake stretch we have after this. In my heart Iām kinda expecting to drop one we shouldnāt off a bad shooting night or something.
Kinda annoying we had such a rough start, a soft middle and then thereās going to be another brutal week in there. Couldnāt spread those out any??

Iām going with 27-4, the Lās being Duke and a close one to Ohio State.
Iād be happy with that finish for sure. Especially if the Duke game is very competitive.
