Agreed. Average US bedtime is 12:01am, so for TV watchers it’s great. Going in person on a weeknight (regardless of an earlier or later start time) is difficult for a lot of folks unless they live near Charlottesville.

Pretty simple to dinner wait till 8 o’clock check the score. Decide whether to watch or not don’t watch the whole thing then just watch the condensed version on YouTube.

Still not sure I believe it. You can lose a lot in terms of averages without taking into account standard deviation. How many people in that study had a night job and went to bed at 9am?
For example, did you know the average age of American wearing a diaper is 22 years old? Of course, that averages infants and the elderly…but 22 years old!

Lots of variables to consider. But, in addition to the average (statistical mean) bedtime being 12:01am, the population of the US east coast is more than double $118 million v $51 million) to the US west coast. That’s way the late night talk shows (Fallon, Colbert, Kimmel) start at 11:35pm. All of those show have a high number of viewers, mostly on the east coast, and that’s because most people don’t go to sleep until after midnight. Of course, none of this matters if we don’t win some more games, because fewer of us will be watching
