Yeah. 930 in an empty gym. Could get weird. Iām optimistic going in. Not necessarily about winning, but I can see us defending well. The big thing Iāll look for is ball security and good ball movement in first 4 minutes. We havenāt faced defensive intensity like this.
Louisville is similar though with 3 transfers being big steps up and all 5 starters being new transfers in their lineup. Whole new team, whole new coach/system that was playing in game 2. Louisville could be good but I wouldnāt call them undeniable competition in week 1 regardless of where the game is played haha.
Edit to add: how the heck has Louisville only played 2 games??
Is Igor their best offensive player?
Letās just take 25-30 threes Thursday night and hit 56%+. Thatāll do it.
*Edit: and iMac needs a minimum of 8-10 of these (if not a minimum of 10)
I think gym is going to be full of psychotic Tennessee fans. They travel, and they are untethered to reality.
Be nice to my Tennessee people (although you are right)
This game will have a secret scrimmage type of environment and we suck at those. Tennessee by about 50
Why do you say that? I bet the atmosphere will be better than Baltimore. UT travels extremely well to these events.
so am i crazy to think we can compete with tennessee or am i psycho
Letās just say that Irish Whiskey will be making an appearance at my house around 10pm.
yeahhhhh might be that type of game
Will be interesting to see how well they travel with a home FB game Saturday
Itās sorta like his year at Charlotte last year. Does well vs lesser competition. Didnāt do much vs Louisville and their Indiana exhibition game.
Why not both?
Baltimore is a low bar, but these are gonna take place in a hotel ballroom. Attendance is about 1800 or so. And itās not a HS gym. Itās a ballroom.
Pics from last year: there are like 8 rows behind the benches and then 5 or so behind one basket. Basically pretty antiseptic:

Yep, which makes the lighting and shooting depth perceptionā¦weird
This is making me mad I didnāt pony up to go.
But Dai Dai has experience there!!
Heās #4 in the first pic
Apparently attendance on Friday was 4868, and that was announced attendance for both games, which means each game was a bit lower. Of a capacity of 14k or so.
The only good thing to come out of Tennessee IYKYK
