There is growing sentiment from both UVA and VCU sources that Jennings might stay at VCU due to the opportunity for a clearer bigger role next season.

Assuming House is approved in the next week or two**, what’s everyone’s view:

  • Deals have to be signed pre-Wilken’s approval / money out the door by July 1 / all deals after that are REV SHARE ONLY

To add some nuance here: I think the House structure is rev share plus 599 or less NIL deals plus 600+ NIL deals approved by Deloitte as being FMV (whatever TF that means)

Okay so the way I understand this…it’s not a question of spending the money before rule changes take effect. It’s contracts signed before the deal is approved, as in the next week or two, have extra leeway. Maybe I’m off but that’s what I understand…why teams/players are in a little extra rush to get deals now.

Not about when it’s paid, when it’s agreed.
