I’m admittedly a pessimist but I don’t get why people want this team in the tourney anyway. Do we really think it’s capable of beating a higher seeded team on a neutral court in a pressure-filled environment? The inevitable loss (likely a blowout) is worse for UVA than not making the tournament at all.

Wrote this before UVA got selected. I’m really worried about the program. How are we going to attract talent with performances like these? What recruit with multiple attractive options is going to want to come play for Virginia?

We will continue to recruit and land the same type of players CTB locks in on (and miss the higher caliber, multi-skilled kids we really need) and we eventually fall for the banana in the tailpipe buzz that this kid or that kid was a recruiting gem that’s gonna shock the ACC. Same ole shyt.
