Loopy thought here, but sometimes it feels like the only way we’re a contender next year is if Ryan Dunn returns and somehow scores 16+ points per game, on average.
It was great for him to be stubborn when things were working, sometimes you can overthink or overcorrect and lose your identity as a coach.
But now we’ve seemingly lost our identity as a program, or at the very least the identity has morphed into something that’s not creating a winner in March. And that means Tony’s gotta look past himself and make changes against his typical MO, otherwise we’re just gonna go insane doing this same song and dance every year until he leaves.
Time to return to the 2016-20 unis. Erase the stink of the teams wearing these.

I could see it. We could be truly awful next season. Need a lot of positive transfer news to make me feel differently.

Nahhh this one will be a sticking point for a week - Big East coaches will run a campaign around it and the 90% of bracketologists that had them out will let it be known too.
But honestly this team has heard that treatment and maybe it will inspire some people to get in the gym and hit some shots.

That team actually fought and were tough as nails. They couldn’t shoot to save their lives but they battled. Ever since then it’s been nowhere close to the same. I don’t know if we’re selecting different types of players or we’re breaking them with whatever “culture” we’ve established, but it’s not fun.
