I really wouldnāt mind a staff shake up. This isnāt working. And most of the blame is probably with Tony but something needs to change. I am well aware this will not happen, but this is getting exhausting.

We did everything we could to make it as easy as a transfer decision for Eli as possible.

Mismatched toys season!
Going in I was fine with this season being a work in progress because I knew we were working in a lot of new players. Could stomach some early blowout losses and rough performances assuming that we would get progressively better and hopefully find a way to put it all together for a peak in March, something that hadnāt been happening the past few seasons.
Instead we got a team that was woefully inconsistent the entire year, saw players who lacked confidence to start the season never see it recover or even regress, and went out playing our worst basketball when it mattered the most.
Really tough season to get through, even if we somehow met the baseline expectation of making the big dance. Canāt see this in any way as a success despite that.

Wrote this before UVA got selected. Iām really worried about the program. How are we going to attract talent with performances like these? What recruit with multiple attractive options is going to want to come play for Virginia?

FWIW, I think Dunn will fall hard in draft rankings. NBA teams would scheme off him so much that it would be 5 on 4. Otherwise, I want Blake to return. Think of PJ Hall as a frosh. Harris and Rhode Iām good with leaving. Iām fond of Taine but he should be an eighth man.
And we need an offensive coordinator to bring something new

This is where you tell us youāve talked to Mr, Gertrude and he says Eli is pumped about next year and filling Reeceās shoes. Feeling low right now and now we gotta worry about him leaving because heās sitting there watching us put up 40 points while he rides pine. Canāt imagine how frustrated he must rightfully be.
