I always thought Kentucky was going to offer but i was hoping we’d be able to really build that relationship up before they hopped in. Have to wonder if CTB making Reed the first stop lit a fire under Cal (probably not)

How often does cal offer a kid this early if he isn’t a top 5-10 player?
I’m not taking it as a bad sign. He was always going to get a UK offer. If he wants it, he’ll take it. If not, we should be in good shape.

Well, it was fun while it lasted.
I may be in the minority, but I see Sheppard as more of a luxury pick up. We are loaded with combo guards for the next few years. Would obviously love it if he became a hoo, but feel there are a few other spots we will prioritize.
I may be in the minority but I’m not ready to give up on Sheppard. I believe we still have a shot

According to this Kyle Guy, Reed didn’t even know Cal was there.

They are indeed. Everybody on here talking like they are some experts on Reed”s recruitment. None of you have any idea. We knew NIL was coming, we likely knew UK would offer, yet CTB was front and center at the first opportunity.
This clearly means our staff is really dumb and many of you are super smart. Hopefully the super smart crowd will just be quiet now that you’ve got
