I think college ball is going tu be a mess and the season will be more disappointing than enjoyable. Its a shame, because we have a Dope squad. I hate that man!!!

Interesting take for me from that podcast, was his mention of Kadin, Kody, and Casey as returning players he expects to step up play this year. An omission of Justin was somewhat interesting. Hope it’s an oversight.

I think it was probably an oversight. He was trying to name everyone in my opinion. Tony keeps things pretty close to the vest in these national interviews. You can definitely learn more from J Willy talking to Mark.

There was a Twitter video from last year of Justin speaking to a high school team. In part of it, he states that he had no idea why he lost all playing time and it came a surprise to him. Also said he didn’t receive any explanation.
He spun it as overcoming adversity and always getting better but it was awkward and didn’t reflect well on the staff in my mind. He seemed so afraid of making a mistake last year when he did play.
In honor of Huff Day: One of the weirdest beginnings to a game. Saving grace was Lykes going out in the 2nd half with an injury.

Hitting Jay on the switches is one area we need to improve. Jay needs to establish position and Kihei needs to throw it in into him.

Had the same thought at VT. Half the game Jay Huff had someone 6’6 on him. Kihei never fed him the ball. Don’t know if Kihei didn’t see the mismatch due to his height not being able to see over the defender or lack of confidence in Huff in the post. Even if they collapse on huff, he is tall enough to see everyone else and kick out to anyone else. I was so happy when he finally took advantage of a mismatch where he had either Cassius Stanley or Wendell moore on him (I forgot) and actually made moves in the paint.

If I recall correctly, we wore these really bright blue unis in Japan that looked nothing like our normal uniforms. It had something to do with UVA being contractually bound to wear those different uniforms or not being bound to wear the normal ones. I can’t remember because I was a teenager then and I’m an old man now.
