Does it lower your expected runs when you are moving two guys into scoring position, rather than just one runner to second or third?
Yes by .06 based on MLB data - not terrible. That is assuming that without advancing the runners via bunt, youâre at risk of double play. In the college game, we could probably assume bunting reduces run expectancy by a bit more given lower skill level is less likely to turn a double play.
OâConnor gonna OâConnor though. And this time canât argue with 5 runs!
Thanks for the explanation!
Why does every Duke pitcher seem to have the same haircut?
Holy shit you have to make that catch.
Any activity in the bullpen?
Absolute brutal coaching mistake there.
Pull Dudawick, who already had an RBI today, for a guy who hasnât hit the ball in a month.
The same guy leaves three on base, then misplays a 2-run HR. Big swing there pulling Didawick for Tuft.
I guess that answered my question. I always feel like BOC waits too long to get the bullpen going.
Melting down a bit gotta get out of this inning
BOOM
And ANOTHER pitcher for Duke!
This pitcher looks just like a guy who pitched earlier (maybe the one who came on 2nd?). Theyâre starting to recycle now?
They all have the same hairstyle. Some nice frat flow in Durham.
Teel now has 105 hits, OâFerrell has 104. They are first and second for hits in a season for the Hoos.
Does the baseball team still haze the first year players by giving them bad haricuts?
That was definitely a thing when I was in school.
Similar to the first year swimmers wearing speedos to football games.
Once again, the starting pitching in the Supers has been stellar. Canât ask for much more.
Damn, rip their frigginâ hearts out, Mr. Anthony.
OâConnor came to UVA while I was a student. At the time, a single trip to Omaha seemed impossible. Now 20 years later, weâre about to go for the 6th time. Pretty incredible run
Lax team does â not sure about baseball.
