Iām surprised they didnāt split-screen that long session of āfans eating thingsā
These announcers are incredibly annoying. They chat about everything other than the game.
Home plate ump is a disgrace
Pitching staff is doing their job. The lineup is letting us down today.
Ray Charles route
Bradley Hodges has some nice stuff.
Jake has been amazing all year, but he wants to be a hero so badly that heās hurting us with these quick outs.
Heās been terrible. Teel and Gelof have killed us the last two games.
Good stuff Jay!!!
Bummer. What a great run though. We have a lot of guys who should be returning that I really like. Weāll be back. Reality is that we were kind of screwed after Friday.
Any season that ends in Omaha is a good one in my book, but we left a lot of meat on the bone. Felt this was the best team weāve had in a long while
The must-not-see tragic comedy of the summer, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan as Jake Gelof and Kyle Teel ā āHitless in Omaha.ā
(0-14 between them ā hard to win when your best players are counting their draft money somewhere in Cville, or so it seemed.)
Anybody know what the rotation looks like next year? We lose our 1 and 2 guys due to graduation and I have a feeling Early is gone to the draft.
OāConnor, McKay and Hodges will likely be in the weekend and midweek mix. Iām sure weāll snag a transfer or two, too.
Tough way to go out, but felt like this team achieved what it should have.
Would have been disappointed if we missed Omaha, but wasnāt expecting a big run in the CWS.
As one who got to watch only the bottom of the ninth on my phone, were their pitchers that good? The last guy looked pretty sharp but hard to tell on my phone. I have it recorded but wonāt bother watching it.
Hard to come back from your coaches killing you in game 1. Feel bad for the kids.
Their relief arms were impressive, first guy out of the pen was throwing mid 90ās and the last guy was a really funky lefty who looked absolutely brutal to pick up out of the hand. The SP wasnāt anything special but heās also the kind of guy weāve historically struggled against under BOC and K-Mac, mid to high 80ās FB with movement and some quality junk pitches.
Itās a situation where our super aggressive approach at the plate thatās helped us put up historically good numbers this season ends up hurting us in the end, their starter wanted to attack the strike zone early to induce soft contact and we obliged.
Wake Forest just pulled one out of their butt in the top of of the 8th. LSU had runners on 1st and 3rd no outs and then 1st and 2nd with 1 out. No runs. 2-2 bottom of the 8th
