2023 Baseball

That would be a tremendous gap between kids if they had this kid after Justin and Matt. That’s a name drop when I saw Justin Bristow on here. I played legion ball with him and against him way back when.

He’s already the best hitter in his major league team

I remembered him bc I was a freshman at Midlothian and they beat him at Godwin. Our ace was Matt Edwards

Good ol’ Danny Neckel. I’d forgotten all about him on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and every third Friday of months starting with the letter J and on days with an average humidity of 92% while on cruise ships in the Southern Hemisphere.

Yep I remember Matt. I played showcase with him. That was different baseball back then. Really good players are more scattered now than they use to be in the Richmond area. Good times.

Except for Hanover, which seems to have 3-4 high D1 players each year these days.

Has anyone heard any chatter about how well he is playing his position? He clearly is hitting at a major league level. Hopefully, his fielding is there also.

This is what it is all about, I think hahaha

Earnest question: is that good? Great? Just okay?

Looks like it’s pretty good - would tie him for 55th best all time at 2B if he had enough experience.

Obviously the sample size is small so we’ll see if he maintains it.

Lets hit Haney 184 ground balls and see how that goes

Yea good question. Sounds legit to me

I played second base in little league when almost every guy batted righty, and nobody knew how to go to opposite field yet, if that tells you anything :joy:
