I’d be curious to know what it used to be then. I graduated in 2020 and was putting in well over 80 hours a week during the first semester. Some of that was due to additional coursework beyond the standard requirements, but factoring in recruiting, I can’t think of any of my classmates who worked significantly less.
Females too
Sort of an old fart thing, but when I was a student there was a football player with a 3.95 in Nuclear Engineering and a Rhode Scholar finalist. Thomas Burns, I think.
Now THAT is impressive

He lives in my mom’s neighborhood in Aiken and got to talk with him at a street festival in town when I was visiting. I was wearing gear and I think he was too, leading to the convo. Bronco was in year 2, I think, and we talked expectations moving forward. He was really nice and engaging and still loves the Hoos. When I googled him when I got home, I was blown away.
Great Hoo. When the baseball team was in Columbia, SC for the regionals and super regionals in 2021, he had them over his house for a big cookout during some down time.
Thats right. Thomas Burns great dude too. And way smarter than everyone else ha
I may have the details a bit fuzzy, but I seem to remember that Burns had a summer (?) job with NASA when he was in school. When he returned to school, they [NASA] wanted him to continue to work for them, and they offered to provide him with a computer to do the work. Unfortunately, the NCAA regs of the time deemed such an offer an impermissible benefit, and he had to decline it. I thought it was kind of laughable then (you would think the NCAA would be encouraging such behavior), but in light of today’s NCAA, it’s just short of mind boggling.
If the NCAA has never been accused of one thing, it’s making sense.

Interesting?
I am sold looks like RAMT to me. All the aggression you want as a rebounder and those finesse finishes from the 7 footer
Probably need to start a 24 thread at some point
420 career points.
Nice.
I don’t know if I can handle two names on the roster with o-h combo
Everyone talking about the worst case, we just avoided it with this news.
Number of contacted players is shrinking. Remember, this is simply a list. I do nothing to eliminate players based on previous commits or potential high school recruits. I also do not eliminate players that have eliminated us.

I really liked McMillan, but doubtful there’s any way it’d work now.
