That’s a lot of bbq in a month. I need to be in the mood for it and Tony’s eating it once a week for a month.
Real reason Tony didn’t go out to recruit this past weekend. Couldn’t fit the airplane seatbelt over his gut after all the BBQ bloating.
I think my list of possibilities would be:
- Craig Hartman/BBQ Exchange
- Smoked Kitchen
- Moe’s (they have a location not too far from JPJ)
- Vision BBQ
- Croby’s
Unless it’s a catering-only place.
“catered by a local restaurant owner”
The Local? ![]()
No, too obvious ![]()
Not often these kids name only Virginia when they’re asked who they’d like to hear from. Jason Richardson’s (Michigan State) son too which makes me feel old.
Uhhhhhh I wouldn’t mind us pursuing this further….
4 star top 50 point guard wants us to reach out to him when our biggest need is pg? Nah not a take.
(Williford and Wilkins already follow him on twitter so Im sure he wants us to push harder and offer once he gets to show off his game when he gets to play fully healthy)
We’re that old.
“Everyone eats” is a nice succinct pitch for our style of play. Maybe it doesn’t matter in either direction for UVA’s chances, but perhaps the NBA lineage is a good thing, as it means he and his family are going to be more informed consumers when it comes to sifting through pitches from programs about how they can help him reach that level.
I wonder if Jason Richardson and tony have a relationship from when they both were on the basketball scene out west🤔
From my looking, he’s probably the highest rated point guard that we could realistically get (using the current rankings, which will obviously change a lot over the next couple months)
Nope. The staff is far too savvy to fall for that banana in the tailpipe again after keels and jarin
He should be contacted immediately and by Tony.
We should follow our normal process with this kid and whoever reaches out to him from uva next should tease him for the comment. Standard principles of game.
You never know what motivates recruits (well, except NIL), and he is a legacy, but there’s just no comparison between Michigan State/East Lansing and UVA/Charlottesville. My daughter attended MSU for one year before transferring. The folks in East Lansing are good people, Midwestern Nice and all that, but Lansing is kind of a dump. Plus she had to endure iron-smelling brown water in her dorm bathroom all year (literally).
MSU’s campus is okay but doesn’t hold a candle to The Grounds. Although obviously if recruits based their decisions on campuses, we’d have a top 5 recruiting class every year. So we’ll see. But I do hope we at least reach out to this young man and see what happens.
I think in that world, we’d be talking about Hawaii and UC Santa Barbara as perennial powers loaded with 5 star talent, haha.
MSU does have a creamery on campus which can’t be overstated
I will also say, one thing I loved about all the B1G schools I’ve been to (UIUC, Mich, MSU) is how huge the campuses are. Illinois in particular is a just insanely large but also quite beautiful throughout
Can’t be underrated . . . . Is it that bad??
got me there
