Poor DePaul! They got the upside eval correct and still couldn’t get the kid.

Guess that takes Kadin out of the picture there.

Yep. Should’ve jumped at IU right away. They would not have turned him down early on. Maybe should commit to TX and call not a day.

He should definitely pick Texas ASAP and not get left out there. It’s by far his best option remaining.

What happened to his dook offer?

Maybe just my strong contrarian streak here, but I think Kadin is a talented hoops player and I hope he winds up in a good spot for him, and I suspect he probably will. (Heck, I still hope it’s here, and will hope that until I see one of those weird edits with him in another jersey).

Just me and my wacky takes again – hoping for nice things for a kid who gave us a good four years.

I doubt he has or has had a committable Duke offer. Maybe if he still visits the end of the month and they are still in need

Actually, I suspect that Kadin’s best option is to find a school with a great MBA program and inquire about their need for a basketball center. He has two years of eligibility, so the degree is very doable.

Networking opportunities in Austin for someone with a UVA COMM degree are through the roof.

The MBA program in Austin isn’t quite at the UVA or Duke level but it’s also very competitive on the next tier.

There’s several former young UVA athletics grads in the Austin area too, I believe.

Plus for a NC guy, Austin is going to have him set on the barbecue scene.

And then there’s the good hoops on top of everything else.

Originally, I was thinking that Stanford might take him in a heart beat, but you’re right. Texas would be an excellent option!

Live just down the road from UT and it’s a great school, maybe the best flagship state school in the Deep South/Southwest/Midwest, and would give Kadin one of the best MBA programs in the country (#18 in US News, only a couple of spots behind Darden at #14).

someone = overplayed their hand.

It’s hard for me to imagine how sensitive one would have to be not to celebrate your Senior Day because your feelings were hurt. Grow up.
