I’m rooting for Kadin to find a good landing spot too, which is why he needs to quit dicking around and make a decision already. Stop optimizing, start satisficing!
Kadin is a high risk, high reward type transfer. He had three years - two of which where he should have clearly been the best option - and was unable to be an impact P5 player. He never even made an honorable mention ACC team if I’m not mistaken.
I don’t think IU was going to hand him the role. Maybe Texas is desperate and will. His best bet to me is a middle of the pack P5 team where he can get guaranteed minutes.
I haven’t studied other rosters but I think of someone like Ole Miss or Georgia or Missouri in the SEC as his best options.
Kadin was great when he was on the floor. CTB should have played him more. He will be very good for whatever team gets him. (Hope it’s us as low probability as that is.)
Prepared for that argument and my eye test always disagreed with the advanced analytics.
I’m not a “Blindly Trust in Tony” stan but to me there is also something to be said about losing your starting role in two consecutive seasons to what appeared to be much lower ceiling / talent options.
Outstanding!

TB is looking towards the bench Rohde is about to sit on for picking up his second foul in the 1st half. And Rohde is looking at us like “Can you believe this shit”.

Looks like we are getting a head start on our preparations for playing at Cassell Colosseum

I really thought that phone edit was a UVA cornhole board and the heart/retweet emojis were the bags.
2/2 on our top priorities
Let’s go 3/3 with a certain reclass. Anything else is icing on the cake.
Wooooooo!
Still another big, though, right?
Ideally
Rohde is a great add to the roster as a likely starter (and if he isn’t starting, that means Bond is really good). We would obviously still love to get Cain and/or Stevenson, but we have a roster of 9 playable guys now. This is a roster we can win with even if we are done adding.
Makes the roster less inviting for Kon Knueppel in 2024?
Maybe a little, but Knueppel seems like more of a 3/4 while Rohde is a 1-3. Plus, Knueppel’s a '24 and Rohde’s a '22 so they’re a little ways apart positionally as well as class-wise.
If we get Stevenson, I think that’d be a real problem.
Right now, we have a fall 2024 roster that would include a bunch of guys who can play the 3 — Murray (4), Dunn (3), Rohde (3), and Bond (2) — and McKneely can play/has played the 3. Definitely a logjam.
Add Stevenson and/or Cain (in a three-guard offense) and that position gets dicey for the 2024 class.
