Yeah, same
Torn labrum. Whatever that means
I did that. It sucked but didn’t require surgery. Took a long while to heal though.
Kadin had surgery…
Knowing what you know now, which option would you choose for a season result in 2023-24?
- Get into the Madness and reach the Elite 8 and lose there
- Get into the Madness with an unknown result
Looks like Carson McCorkle retiring from basketball?
Well, that sucks. Hope he’s okay.
Has an IG story where he’s wearing a leg cast. Maybe related. That sucks for him.
I guess I’d agree with this, all things considered – best combo of experience and talent – but they really needed to get a rim protector / bouncy big in the portal, and didn’t. Plus, relatedly, I’m not sure they solved their Tennessee problem, where they’re pretty susceptible to getting out-toughed.
But I think they’re probably the most likely option, just because they have the most talent at the top end. Kansas doesn’t, pending Elmarko. Purdue’s guards are still miles from natty caliber. UConn is replacing a lot. Marquette is solid, but enough top end talent? The more I look at the top teams, this might be the rare year where we just have to stop at the Final 4, and decide nobody is good enough to win it.
Ugh. Nothing of substance here, but I passed on linking this earlier. I was trying to be sensitive in light of the PTSD inflicted by Duke over the past day.
What a random NIL deal even if good intentioned. Gabe Cupps is getting the bag
Cupps gettin paid by the Feds
The pros of having 350k IG followers, I suppose.
I looked at last season’s data on Hoop Explorer, and Duke played barely any possessions with Flip as the only big on the floor (~120 possessions out of 2200 total), and they weren’t great. Young’s numbers are good in the aggregate, but definitely not a rim protector. I guess they just play that pairing a lot, but if there’s a way their season underwhelms, I’d bet on that being the main factor, and then maybe their lack of wings as the second most-likely factor.
In all seriousness, all the national “experts,” “reporters,” “analysts,” whatever seem to have Kansas as the consensus number 1. Do you think there is a bit of groupthink going on? Or is there something substantive to what they are saying/forecasting? I am skeptical about Duke…I think they might be a bit overhyped given what the nearly identical team (notably, minus Lively) accomplished last year, though they admittedly finished very strong. Interested in what you make of the Kansas vs. Duke comparison.
Definitely groupthink. Kansas seems to have the highest floor, but not the best talent.
I really (sports) hate Duke but I love how much their social media feed enjoys trolling TJ Power

He looks maybe even more a bit like Napoleon Dynamite than our very own Jake Groves
So maybe he was just older than everyone in AaU?
No worries. Scheyer has his back.
