Per Gary Parrish, optimism in Deandre Williams’s waiver is waning. Still some optimism, but less than a couple months ago. (We play them Dec 19)

NCAA going down to the wire on a couple of waiver requests for guys we play. Deandre Williams’ at Memphis (old as f*ck, denied earlier but being appealed), Raequan Battle at WVU (2x undergrad transfer, denied this week but they’re appealing), Primo Spears at FSU (2x undergrad transfer), Efton Reid at Wake (2x undergrad transfer), Kam Woods at NC State (2x undergrad transfer). All those guys would be starters or at least top reserve options for their respective teams.
