Yup. Remember how they hired (now-ODU coach) Mike Jones from DeMatha and got like no one who played minutes for them out of it before he left for UMD (technically Rodney Rice played 7 games for them)? Swinton backed out once Jones left.

If we don’t get chance, I still like the idea of adding Kenyon Giles from UNCG.
Yeah, I think he moved to Memphis to play for Eastside high or whatever HS Penny was coaching at the time (Memphis East)
Seeing a story that Mom says they moved there for the daughter who was enrolled at Memphis. 
Remember when our top 3 point guard targets were Reece Beekman, Carter Whitt, and Cam Hayes?
Carter Whitt actually having a solid season at Belmont. And he does have the Furman win over UVA. Cam Hayes is having an okay game now vs Tulane but has been atrocious.
Imagine if we had gotten Hayes
(edit: also man I tune in only for Kaleb Banks, and he barely plays with foul trouble and even when in they just put him in the corner)

I thought Penny gave Wiseman’s mom money to move to Memphis, but I never heard that the Wisemans moved into Penny’s house. If they did, Wiseman quitting on Penny after playing only a handful of games makes it even more f’ed up.

Not to take this thread off the rails, but you are right. Wiseman never lived in Penny’s house. In 2017 he gave his family help with moving expenses when he was an AAU coach, but NCAA said since he was a Memphis booster it was a problem. Whatever they got a slap on the wrist so nothing major. I’ve always liked Penny and pull for him. He also has my upmost respect cause he plays the toughest non-conference schedule in the country pretty much every year. His team this year has the guards (Haggerty and Hunter) to make a deep run in NCAAs.

He’s got the Brogdon “it looks like it’s physically painful for me to shoot” jump shot form. Shot it well for a big last season, less well this season, but added blocks and free throws to his game.

What about hairless and French? This freshman stretch 5 for Dayton is killing VCU with the mismatch floor spacing and passing.
If Anthony Grant is retirement watch, he’s going on the list.
Curious about how this guy translates up levels. He’s a monster athlete (1.5 dunks per game at 6’6”) but hasn’t shown range on his shot. And his team is so so bad and he only plays like 55-60% of the available minutes. I think he can go up a level or two for sure.
