I guess this ends up being a post mortem thread too.

4-1 through the first 5 games was pretty fun.

1-6 through the last 7, with only one of the losses (Louisville) being competitive, was not.

Devastating conclusion to a season that hsd promise early. Such a poor showing cannot happen without consequences and in this case that means role and responsibility changes.

At the very minimum Kitchings has to go. I think there’s a pretty good chance this happens. Then the staff needs to pull a portal miracle and get solid guys at QB, OL, DL, and secondary. Is this possible? They might get a few but certainly not enough to make this team competitive. Next year will be another year wasted.

Post game was typical. Completely defeated coach with no answers.

It wasnt a good look at all but I’m not sure what else he could have said. I think there is a time and place for a coach to come out firery and angry post game and I’m not sure that was it. The time for that is M-F in training. The post game stuff is is just for show and ego soothing. I’ve said it before I do not respect men who allow emotion instead of logic to be their guiding force. It’s a sign of a lack of competence and weakness.

Do I want more general personality and less coach speak? Yes but you can have that without being emotional.

Agree. I don’t really have an issue with his post game stuff. What I do have an issue with is actually watching him on the sidelines. Whether that’s just the way his face looks or what, he looks confused and way out of his depth way too often in how he reacts to what’s happening on the field. Just doesn’t feel like a guy who is going help a team get out of a rut and bust through a wall.

Good point. I think he just looks sad (maybe he is) and close to crying.

I think it’s just his demeanor. Unfortunately it looks bad when things are going poorly. You could argue Dungy had a similar sad face difference was he won so it looks like quiet genius instead of hapless and lost

Yeah but like… he won games haha

Hah for sure only comparing looks not coaching acumen

Yeah I get it this whole thing just sucks because Elliott seems like a genuinely good person. But he’s London’ed the hell out of this situation and nothing short of getting Saban to be our next OC is going to help build up attendance/confidence/moral around the program besides moving on.

Elliott is the best at being the worst.

Here we go.

Good. Every single player should be replaced.

With an OC willing to call plays that suited his skillset, he would have been fine.

At least he was exciting for a time.

Nothing else since Dr. Bob’s Air Raid has been.

Air raid at least worked lmao. Pro style is meant for future nfl players. We don’t have that
