He played only one game in 2021, so he has another year.

Bum move by Colandrea unless he thinks he should be in lower sort of division

Tony Elliot road with the dude all season. Sometimes controversialy. Atleast and wait to see what happens with TE man

So about that Jwilly show lmao.

I mean, this coaching staff destroyed Armstrong, and Colandrea regressed. Get out while you can — unless there’s a change that’ll help to actually develop him as a QB.

AC destroyed AC

The staff was bad but he was bad too

For me AC was given every chance possible. Now he quits on the guy(s) that gave him those chances

Character thing for me from far

Nailed it.

Things got tough and he bailed and blamed others while not holding himself accountable.

Epitome of whats wrong with the modern athlete and the system.

Disagree. They called 3-4 rollout passes for Muskett last night. They didn’t call 3-4 for Colandrea all year. Staff didn’t put him in a position to succeed.

He wasn’t good. But Des did him no favors whatsoever.

Who did he blame? He hasn’t given interviews blaming anyone, and hasn’t been on social media. Now we’re making shit up?

To my untrained eye didnt UVa have lotta design runs for Muskett as well?

Seems to me not his strength but could be wrong

2nd half Muskett carried the offense on designed runs. Took the AC playbook and made it work-ish

Designed runs are different from rollouts/moving the pocket — which Des refused to do with Colandrea, even though it worked last year.

Blame was the wrong word but he was discontent and thats clear.

Pretty sure we just said the same thing.

I get it and I was just asking/ curious

Still think AC is wrong here nonetheless

Ha … maybe he was told he didn’t have a starter spot next year… why he would he stay?

My take is that with the money involved today, the athletes think of it as a business more than we’d like. Understandably so. My first reaction to the Colandrea portal news is it’s disrespectful. @DFresh11 lays out why. Wait a week, that’s my only complaint. But I think because these guys just see it as a business now, it’s just his next move, nothing else.

I do not blame Colandrea for leaving. Frankly, him staying after his freshman year was very generous. The defense and the coaching staff so far have failed, plain and simple. He is a kid with plenty of mistakes to clean up, but tons of upside. Playing Muskett was the wrong long term move.

Feel bad for Muskett, moving back to VA only to ride the pine during his grad year and watch AC take sacks, forget he can throw the ball away when he’s in trouble, throw picks, etc… and then transfer a day after the season ends.

I know Muskett isn’t significantly better, and in some ways, arugably not as good (like in a scramble situation) but he had poise and was tough, had prior experience at least. Same time 5 > 3 but idk, just can’t help but feel a bit bad for him.

Two years into college he makes mistakes that aren’t acceptable even for a rookie. His upside is also limited because of his inability to make reads and very inaccurate and chaotic.
