Is there a general UVA men’s hoops thread for the 24-25 season? I see this one which seems like it, but it’s locked for some reason?
Anyway wanted to note in a more general season thread, not a game thread, that Travis Watson is working out with players a good bit it seems. His FB story today showed a lot of clips of him working out with Saunders 1 on 1.
@jazznutUVA maybe a non-specific game thread? Unless you want to keep everything in the game threads this year?
I thought with regular game threads a general one would get lost… but we can definitely make a more general one. I can always close it if it lags.

We did do monthly last season… but only because there was a lag issue relating to Twitter embeds… Running a new thread every month eliminated the lag caused by too many embeds in the same thread. I don’t think we’ve run into that in quite a while.

Man forreal. The one game I went to in U-Hall as a kid had me trying to replicate that sound of him grabbing a board and smashing it to the other hand for years. One of my all time faves.

Cofie is special. You just know he’s going to be a star. He’s flashing in the ways that all of the special CTB players have flashed in their first years.
Sharma will flash too this season but there’s something about Cofie that screams future first team all ACC if he stays. Huge if. An if that will keep me up at night but I’d wager it if he sticks around

I was watching Cofie tonight and thinking…
It feels not that long ago I’d see a freshman play like that and say, “Man, can you imagine how good he’ll be as a senior?” And then more recently it was, “I wonder how long we get him before he goes pro.” And now it’s, “Well, I’m glad he’s good this year, because that’s all we can really ever count on.”
As I was telling my wife tonight, “Kid’s too good. We’re not going to have him next year.”
