I keep saying this…but it’s mostly just that there hasn’t been that right guy out there yet. Everybody talks about who’s getting paid what and yada but most transfers even the cream of the crop still make basketball choices…relationship/fit/opportunity. There hasn’t been a single PG out there yet that screams UVA.

So while I’m sure there’s some frustration at not making in roads with the early crop, it would have been surprising if they had gotten any. Hopefully there will be somebody good that comes along where they have an advantage.

I’m saying in this bizarro scenario where we get a talented big wing and a Maliq Brown type. Could be an ok tradeoff. Maybe. Probably not.

No one specific @XHoo. I’ve mentioned Chuck Harris from SMU before. I know he’s one they’d jump on, and would be a good fit. But no idea if he’ll actually portal.

I actually think they don’t need a guard. Tbh, this team needs a wing, PF and another big man.

I think if you have Rohde, IMac, Gertrude and Bliss that’s a good foundation, IMO. If anything bring in a HS recruit focus your guards there.

Tony and I aren’t really aligned right now. lol

Outside of both SMU and USC, Perry has heard from Virginia , Villanova , Oregon , Alabama , Stanford and UCLA.

Retention seems to be a priority of UVA NIL. I think you can trust it. But I doubt players want to be scoring 50PPG.

But I think Hs recruiting and retention is the way for UVA. Or multi year transfers like Rohde.
