šŸ€ 2024 Basketball Transfer Portal - Portal Kombat! Fight!

ROFL.

Lol dont know how Georgetown fans feels about this.

I remember last name there wasn’t as much mutual interest. He looked solid against us as a freshman when he was at Illinois.

I imagine 30% from 3 on two seasons wont be exciting for a lot of UVA fans lol but he’s a baller though.

edit: it might be a troll

Probably is, now that you mention it.

lol seems like it.

Also real talk here…

How am I just finding out that Finley Bizjack entered the portal?

Top tier name kid that we were mentioned with at some point during HS recruiting.

No thanks, avg like 4 ppg

Javon McCollum to GT…solid get. Real nice backcourt for them now

Acaden Lewis’ dad

Sorry @DFresh11 but Im also putting in the @Hooandtrue crystal ball for Acaden to Georgetown. He’s boys with all the Georgetown commits + Kenny Johnson being hired soon + just where UVA is vibes wise (a lot of work to do to overcome that LOL and so far coaching/roster decisions not reflecting that but still a lot of time left/not worrying about it yet)

(to be fair, UVA twitter is the worst sometimes LOL)

Now that the Mack thing is over I’ll be straight with my opinion. I was semi rooting for it just because it would have been a ā€œrecruiting winā€ on paper that would have satisfied many fans and made the next few weeks easier for me.

Otherwise, I was completely against bringing him in. if he were a grad transfer, I’d be all for it. But I think it’s probably 50/50 he would be better than Bliss next year, and the odds tilt to Bliss in the years after. He’s just a gamble. If he didn’t pan out, you’re stuck with him for the next 3 clears clogging up the roster.

Also the tattoo really was a deal breaker for me. Old fashioned I guess but I don’t want a player with a plainly visible tat of a former hated rival. Just no freaking way. I can’t believe so many Hoo fans were okay with that.

Yeah we shouldn’t consider ourself favored in any recruiting battle at this point. Vibes are horrific around this program

Yeah and for me (not sour grapes, I voted for Trent Perry in the poll I posted in VIP thread) the fit was really weird LOL. Like if we completely changed the offense I could see it working really well. But I have that @BillyHoyle fear ingrained that 1) we aren’t going to change too drastically offensively and 2) we are going to play one of the forwards we get at center.

And because of that I liked Perry cause he’s really good at the things Tony has defaulted too in the past. (also why Im hoping we flip the script and go back in on Maliq since I still have concerns of Buchanan/Robinson being ready).

That being said Malik was someone staff tried really hard to get on grounds so it sucks they couldn’t pull it off even if he was Georgetown bound anyways.

Onto the next one

Fact that we were willing to ā€œplay the NIL gameā€ more with Mack is a good sign. That’s my main takeaway from his whole 5 day recruitment.

I could not be happier he’s not coming. He saved the staff from themselves. Also I’ve enjoyed the meltdown rollercoaster between shots at the masters. The masters and uva recruiting sucking ass, two traditions unlike any other that just so happen to overlap on the calendar.

I think a big reason most are so on-edge about PG recruiting is the unknown of Bliss.

Hasn’t been a lot of info this year on his progress, but if he’s capable of giving us what Mack would have with a higher future ceiling, that would make things much less critical.

Yeah…no. It’s Dante

I mean to some extent on Bliss, sure, but I’m mainly concerned about PG because the presumed starter went 2/20 from three last year.

Are you sipping on Arnold Palmers my dude?

Dante Harris was made in a lab to make us miss Kihei

Maybe I’m being extremely naive, but I have to believe TB can see that’s not our best option, even if we add no one else.
