I’m kinda anti-tattoo in general for young folks unless you are a navy seal, a high level international soccer player with a full sleeve, or have a full back tat of a fire-breathing dragon, but I have to say this one is shaping up to be an all-time confusing tattoo. and here’s why:

I think Maryland the state in general has this weird obsession with it’s flag, not just the school. So maybe it was a take on a state logo?
It appears to me to be literally the former secondary athletic logo for the school, which was discontinued in 2012, further adding to the confusion
look, i’m just joking around. don’t care what or why this kid has something semi-permanently etched into his skin. I just find it odd.

I was going to say that a part of our pitch should be a photo-shopped image of him without the tattoo and a directory of tattoo removal services in C’ville, but it looks like someone beat us to the punch.

I read a cool story from him last year on why he stayed at SDSU. Bummer he now feels the need to move on.
I mean he’s done just about everything he could do there. Won two league titles and a player of the year in three seasons, I don’t blame him for wanting to test himself at the higher level.

Does it feel like the UVa coaches have a war dialer going to contact all the transfers?
The last spam call I just received was an automated message from UVA saying…
“Hello… this is CTB from UVa… we are interested in discussing a basketball transfer to play insert your position here for the Cavaliers. We promise we will not play blocker mover offense anymore next year… seriously. Please press 1 if UVa is your dream school and we will discontinue contact… if not, please stay on the line to speak to the next available assistant coach…”

I mean that’s just an obvious overpay that is either a fake offer or horrendous money usage. Sounds like something Georgetown would do.

If that’s for real, there must be serious (and panicked) grade inflation going on. It makes me think there’s some wisdom keeping your powder dry until the right opportunity comes along later. It’s a gamble of course, but so is throwing vast sums of money at a mid-level player who may not work out.
