2024 Class Reachout day (June 15th 2022)

I really don’t know what the social aspects of an official visit are these days. It’s a lot different from Fresh’s time that’s for sure. And less of it too.

Man my Texas AnM visit had a lil of everything. There is an old school polaroid somewhere as well…

I’d be stunned if they took high school prospects out but transfers are another story. I remember seeing Noah Dickerson out at Boylan when he was on his visit here. He wasn’t engaging with the team and was on his phone the entire time. I knew he wasn’t coming here after that

It’s been a while, Dickerson visited in the spring of '17 as a transfer after Lorenzo Romar was fired at Washington. Supposedly he told them he was coming on the visit, then backtracked. The next week the full staff flew out to Seattle to try to get him to come back around. He decided to stay at Washington in the end of course.

@HoozGotNext With all your unprompted mentions of him in different threads, along with Williford wanting him bad, is it safe to say Caleb Williams is our top 2024 target? (Im assuming Jarin Stevenson is already UNC bound with his buddy Drake Powell who I liked). Especially since TJ Power is now unofficialy off the board?

Saw Leader Johnson, the villanova 247 mod, say in his podcast that he believes Villanova is the early favorite for Caleb Williams but not even their fans buy it/it’s such a strange dynamic over there cause most of their board makes fun of Leader and doesn’t take his word seriously at all.

I like how you ask questions based on multiple assumptions haha Expect Caleb Williams is one they’ll seriously recruit but I don’t know about top target. To be determined over the next couple months.

For those keeping track

2024 has:

Ty Jerome Clone: Ty Davis
DeAndre Hunter Clone: Drew McKenna
Joe Harris/Sam Hauser hybrid: Kon Knueppel (Caleb Williams also in this Category but a little different)
British Mamadi: Luke Bamgboye
Trey Murphy clone: Bryce Dortch
Reece-lite: Larry Johnson

Isaiah Abraham: Isaiah Abraham (I just like his game a lot LOL)

Edit: I like that Caden Diggs kid williford is active with on twitter but I think HGN said he’s a “needs to show a little more but ceiling could be really high” kid. Another forward in the DC area. And I like that Athletic Andre Mills kid out of Boston but if we get Gertrude I dont see that happening.

Any similarities between Abraham and Justin Anderson?

Abraham almost killed Isaac…JA almost killed Justice Winslow

Think Abraham is more skilled. The prototype 3 you want who can switch between being a small ball 4with high motor and skilled enough to play on the perimeter as shooting guard some. Dont think we have had a wing like that but Anderson would be the closest.

A good player to compare Anderson to would be Rakease Passmore. That explosive small forward who I have no idea if Tony is going to show up for in the next month.

I want our 2024 class just to be the most athletic 6-5 to 6-10 bodies we can get to throw at TJ Power on the defensive end. I want our program to be built solely on spiting TJ Power moving forward.

Shooting, passing, dribbling. All of that is irrelevant. Just need some motherlovers to send a message

Many think early this is a Baylor vs Wisconsin battle. He also is a legitimate D1 football prospect.

One of the guys Getter saw when he went to Minnesota to see Chatman during the scholastic period in June.

Time stamped for the 4 seconds where he mentions Virginia

Class of 2024 in North Carolina has a lot of high-talented players.

Sir M would be a very good player in CTB’s system. Great kid. Amazing family. Does everything well. Will likely grow another inch or two. Very close friends with my son. If UK offered he would commit on the spot because of his dad and sister is there now. But he isn’t a top 40ish kid so I doubt he gets the UK offer.

I think Isiah Evans is overrated. Very close to the NM program and seen him play 50 times over the last three years in games and pickup. Plays extremely hard—everyone plays hard for Duane or they don’t play. Jump shot is erratic. Never seen him shoot from range with a good percentage. NM is the most disciplined team you will watch in high school bball that plays at an elite level every possession, every game, every year. And Isiah doesn’t show as a polished elite player like you would expect from a top 25 - 30 kid. Good fit at NC State. I’d absolutely prefer Sir in CTB’s system.
