But still wouldnât have played much in '22-'23, and for good reason. And itâs not like he was a savior most of last year. He looked pretty rough a bunch of games first half of the season, and finally came on at the end of the season.
He would have gotten lot better playing somewhere where he played and didnt worry about coming out BUT he also could have played pick up in CVille and gotten that
I understand he is as hard working on his game as anyone but playing constantly in game situations cant be replicated working on your own stuff
Not everything.

No matter what happens this year, Taine better get a LONG ovation on senior day. That guy is a unicorn in todayâs game. Never considered leaving when he wasnât playing, all about the team, and legit is here as much or more for academics as athletics.
I agree. I like how Davidson for example pushes right into the alignment they need to run their offense:
And the first thing I notice is the red team having to full sprint back to play D
Maybe but he probably looks a lot better in all phases that you mention. Taine would be in a much better place today if he played instead of rotting on the bench
Yeah but then weâd be playing a guy over Taine this year to give him developmental minutes. Kinda doesnât work in the end if you are consistent with that philosophy over time.
Well if you go the other way you end up playing mediocre upperclassmen, which is sorta where weâve landed since the title
Iâm not suggesting that we only play younger players over older players. But what I am suggesting is that maybe we should give younger players more time if the incumbent upperclassmen is wildly mediocre
In general, one of the challenges in college basketball is balancing your competitiveness for the current year with developing players for future years. This is really easy when you have players that accomplish both (Guy, Beekman, etc.) or when the current talent level of the roster strongly suggests one direction or the other (really good or bad rosters). But it can be much more challenging when there is a clear tradeoff between current and future competitiveness or when the overall talent level is ambiguous. Overall, I think CTB has done a mediocre to bad job managing this in the past few years which is a major contributor to our struggles lately
huh, interesting, more positive than I would have expected.
DBR guys have almost always been complimentary of Bennett over the last decade or so.
Seemed to like Bond more than most of us.
They (DBR) are generally pretty knowledgeable and fair and like @StLouHoo said, they definitely have some respect for Bennett over there.
Found it curious in the blowout section that they didnât mention the curb stomp Duke put on us. Or the CSU game either.
Fresh Iâm watching you in a game @ N.C. State from '91 right nowâŚ
Holy shit how did you find that?
Itâs on Youtube 2/23/91
