  3. if you don’t accept any external proxies for talent (like NBA draft or recruiting rankings) then there’s absolutely no basis to evaluate if a coach is wringing every last drop of talent or wasting the talent

Lots of NBA Draft announcements the past few days. Haven’t heard of anything coming with Dunn, or Reece for that matter. But UVA usually gets them out there in a group with nice graphics. Would guess next week if not this week still.

I know we over analyze Ryan’s flaws because we’re hanging on every play, but write it down today, at 6:45…someone will take a chance on him in the 1st round.

We know his defensive upside is off the charts, but you can’t teach attitude & desire. You know with a Bennett player you’re getting a positive lockeroom influence. What Harris, Brogdon & Hauser have done as guys who didn’t go top 30, shows our guys are worth rolling the dice on.

Someone will get a steal in the 20’s.

Now this is the stuff:

Over the course of the year, by lifting under the supervision of strength coach Mike Curtis and eating a high protein diet, Robinson has added 22 pounds, muscular mass that should have him more ready to bang in the paint next season.

Also a little Bliss injury recovery tidbit:

Bliss said his focus was improving his body composition, converting fat to muscle to make him a leaner, more explosive athlete. In February, Bliss underwent ankle surgery and his work with Curtis shifted to rehabilitation. He’s expecting to be back to full-speed by the time he goes home for the summer.

And look at the pic of Bliss v Gertrude in practice - Bliss noticeable bigger/thicker. Also missed he was 6’4 somehow. Yeah, he can def play alongside Mack/Perry

Robinson has the dream frame for an elite center. Just hope he can put it together on the skills side but he’s got all the raw materials to be a monster

Love seeing this, especially re: Robinson.

While I appreciate what BVP & Groves gave to the program the last 2 years, focusing on guys like Jefferson & Brown, along with a bulked up Robinson, it feels like we’re trending towards the pre-championship teams on the interior. And that’s a good thing.
