Start signing day on a down note as Teasley flips to the Twerps.

They might have a concern at this point about who will be throwing the ball to them. I certainly do.

My nephew trained with Demarcus the last two offseasons.

He said the kid is big and very strong, and has unbelievable jumping ability and good hands. He’s not the fastest guy, but uses his size well to body off defenders.

North Cross is recruiting kids away from Salem, Patrick Henry, and Fleming these days.

It’s wild how bad our 2026 class on paper (88th in 247 composite), but I do like some of these players quite a bit. Think we aren’t going to see the fruits of this season’s success until 2027 which is off to a great start

I’ve heard Franklin made a run at Bull. But as it’s been said over the years, some kids are UVa kids and some kids are VPI kids. And Bull Richardson is a UVa kid all the way.

SWVA talent really having a renaissance. Salem has had a few bigger time guys recently.

Richmond is about to have a nice run here. Would really love to get a foothold in the state for this stretch of talent.

How hopeful should we be for a little flipsmas celebration today?

Only one in play is Geter to my knowledge and looking like a long shot

Damn that’s a bummer. I really did have some hopes with UNC and Penn State imploding that we’d be able to pick a few guys off after a strong season.

Glenvar has a 6’6 QB who’s the real deal. Brody Dawyot. He’s committed to Charlotte, but there are a lot of big boys sniffing around him.

Haha very aware of him! He lives up the street from my parents. Go highlanders!

My Roanoke recruiting correspondent (my mother) gave me no indication he was going anywhere but Charlotte when she mentioned him the other day, but her crystal ball accuracy is pretty shaky.

My son, a Hokie, informed me last night that Franklin had flipped to Tech 17 of the PSU committs. They expect 1 of the 5 left to flip today. He is really putting it to PSU and I am sure loving that aspect of it also. My son thinks to date he is bringing about 8 from the existing team.

I imagine a good number of the hokie team is looking elsewhere.

My nephew plays for Cave (he’s going to play D3 ball). I went to the Glenvar game last year. Dawyot and his brother were incredible that game. Think they put up 60 on a 3A team.

And Syracuse, who oddly had a good year recruiting Virginia. They had an inexcusably bad season, finishing by getting blown out by an awful BC. It’s always weird to me people choose to go to upstate NY (brrr) but especially after the season they just had. Guess they can transfer home if Fran Brown is on the hot seat this time next year.

Wonder if we ā€œbring homeā€ some of their in-state underclassmen who might’ve had us as runner up a year or two back?

Yeah Glenvar’s athletics emergence has been something to behold. They finally built on all the Waldrop land in their footprint and a ton of young families have moved in and seem to be producing disproportionately good athletes lol. My parents are still going to a couple of games a year because they’ve found the team so fun to watch.

Glad it happened long after me though because I’m not sure I would have been able to participate in any sports with how good some of these teams are now

I’m hoping they can really get going talent wise. Coach Clifford sent one of his sons to UVa! And I think Josh is still coaching with Bronco?

Hell let someone else pay these kids for a year while they’re not contributing much. Tony ā€œbag dropperā€ Elliott will see them next year

At least he had some long conversations with himself. Locksley’s always been good with a bag, but bad at winning games

If the coaching carousel hadn’t been such a mess as a whole this year, good chance the Twerps would’ve moved on (PSU’s struggles vindicate that call). Still, he’s on the hot seat this next season I think.

Adding: if there’s one position where this class has room to lose a guy, it’s at WR, four others in the class. It’s basically every other position group we under recruited.

Friend of mine says Stanford likely. West coast guy.

Stanford going to be a popular pick for QBs with Pritchard and Luck.

For the ACC’s sake, hope they land a good one.
