Also that poor punter getting all that exposure⦠dude needs some help.
but what if itās an Estwing?
JF just posted her bat signal equivalent about 20 or so minutes ago (aka after the long snapper news).
Notre Dame lineman?
Curly and Moe to follow.
Would imagine this is not a good sign for Morris - but maybe Iām wrong
If Chambliss didnāt get a waiver I canāt see Morris getting one. TJ Finley might be a more apples to apples comp. I have not seen a result to his waiver yet.
Itās Chamblissās more about non d1 time shouldnāt count and not injury?
They werenāt able to provide sufficient medical documentation or evidence for his āinjuryā in 2022 which is why it was denied. I think Chandlerās knee injury in 2022 is a more legitimate claim than the tonsilitis that apparently caused Chambliss to miss the season.
I think that was the angle he took.
Yeah not an apples to apples waiver claim at all
Yeah, Chamblissā was a totally bogus claim from the start. I think allowing āseason-long tonsilitisā is a precedent even the NCAA wasnāt willing to set, despite erosion in so many other places.
Chandlerās injury claim is legit, the real question is how hard the NCAA is willing to draw the line on the āseason endingā aspect of the rule. He was obviously capable of playing later in the season since he made some garbage time appearances, but he had lost his starting job due to injury, which is sort of in line with the spirit of the rule. Not sure if they will care about that.
Itās all about liability at this point, and which decision minimizes it for them.
Taking off my blue and orange glasses, Morris does not deserve another year. 6 years is plenty. So glad he finished here w a bowl win. Weāll get that ACC title eventually and I hope heās on the sidelines for it. Hoo for life.
What he genuinely should do is look into the UFL. Talk to Bryce Perkins about it.
