šŸ€ 2025-26 In-Season ACC Thread

I can’t summarize it, but plug in results to this, and it lays it all out. Amy remaining scenario (you have to select winners for today’s games)

Very likely we will get NC State at this point if Louisville wins

Louisville win + NC State win or FSU win or Cal loss = NC State

Louisville win + NC State loss + FSU loss + Cal win = Cal

Louisville loss + NC State win + FSU loss = Louisville

Louisville loss + NC State win + FSU win = FSU

Louisville loss + NC State loss + FSU win or Cal loss = NC State

Louisville loss + NC Stae loss + FSU loss + Cal win = Cal

I think these are all the scenarios Also I did this on my phone so trust at your own risk

The acc kind of sucks again

Nah if Stanford wins we get Stanford or NC state regardless of Louisville result

This is gonna end w us facing Louisville w Brown lol. Brutal draw

Again, why does it matter? Whether he makes 7 shots, or sets up 7 shots for others, as long as the points are being scored, it doesn’t really matter who takes them. He’ll shoot if he’s open, but he also knows what his role is, and he plays that role really well. Plus, every shot he takes is one that TDR, Malik, or Jacari isn’t taking.

What really changes if Hall takes 5 shots rather than 1? All it really changes is that a lower percentage shooter is taking those 4 extra shots.

Practically true since FSU is up big but if you look at the scenarios if FSU lost then Cal would win a two way tiebreaker over NC State

If you assume FSU wins it gets a lot simpler

NC State loss = NC State

Louisville win + NC State win = NC State

Louisville loss + NC State win = FSU

How much your PG shoots matters to how much he is threat and how much he is perceived to be a threat. I don’t think he should call his own number a ton, but on first principles, one isn’t enough (and eyeballing it, one seems to be the season low).

I kinda want to Louisville to lose and NC State to win because Louisville/Duke as the 8/1 game after would be funny (funnier if it was at noon but alas)

My question is: Is N. C. State a lock for the NCAA tournament? Looks like they’ll lose at home to Stanford and finish the regular season at 19-12 (10-8).

No, if they lost today and Wednesday I think they’d be sweating

I’m imagining a scenario where VT, SMU, Cal, Stanford, and NC State could all end in the first ~ eight teams out lmao

This conference can’t help cannibalizing itself

So I believe a lot just got locked up if Louisville and Stanford win

1 - Duke
2 - Virginia
3 - Miami
4 - North Carolina

5 - Clemson
6 - Louisville
7 - NC State
8 - Florida State
9 - Cal

10 - Stanford
11 - SMU
12 - Virginia Tech

OUT - Notre Dame
OUT - Georgia Tech

Practically for us the teams in our pod are NC State, Stanford, and Pitt with a win or BC with a Pitt loss

LOL :joy: Oh geez! The Stanford coach needs to stop rubbing his man-boobs on the sidelines. That’s worse than the Baseball managers picking their noses during games.

Tbh, best case scenario for us.

It only becomes an issue if you end up with a Jontel Evans situation where he refuses to shoot, and the defense can sag 5 feet off to clog up the lane, but that’s not what’s happening. He hit two threes against Wake. He’ll shoot if he’s open, he just doesn’t force bad shots.

He won’t be but Kyle Smith should be the ACC coach of the year, getting that team to 9-9. Probably an NIT bid, would have seemed unthinkable preseason with that roster.
