That is one sickly dude.

I wonder which NBA team will roll the dice on a kid who’s 50-50 every night? Probably the Wizards.

Roman Domon (the French lary bird) and Leon Bond play again tonight. Last time the frenchy dropped like 28 points but Northern Iowa got the win

Still a good game so far but I’m bummed. It’s getting a little absurd at this point

Not sure Roman Domon is a fit with Grünloh in the front court. Also not sure he is starter quality for us.

I could see a reality where he makes the off-season improvement and in year 2 makes the jump with his baseline skills set to be a force at the power 5 level. But far from a guarantee.

And don’t think he makes sense as a ā€œ3ā€ for us when his best skill set is taking advantage of slower 4s defending him. On top of us needs more guards who can defend on perimeter and attack the rim and create

Refs scared to call anything on Kansas geez

Arizona take anything other than a mid-long two challenge (impossible)

It’s really crazy, not sure I’ve seen anything like it. Pretty clearly the most talented player with just no real interest in competing— but still dominating good competition anyways (when he plays).

He’s gonna behave himself out of the #1 spot. It’s like Lakers Shaq when he was the clear best player in the league and couldn’t be stopped but couldn’t be bothered to try. (I always liked the Bill Simmonsism that he’s the only top 10-12 player of all time that didn’t actually maximize his potential)

I’m a Mavs fan and he was my top choice for when the NBA rigs another lottery for us to settle all of the shadow terms of the Luka trade conspiracy, but now I’m leaning Dybantsa. DP just seems like a classic locker room cancer.

There’s clearly something going on but it could just be that he’s had a bad string of health stuff at an inopportune time. Or it could be what you say. We will know more as time goes on.

Gimme Wilson or Flemings over both of those guys.

If the mavs land outside the top 4, I’ve been making goo-goo eyes at Mikel Brown since the Kentucky game. Kid is a killer, but Flemings has come on really strong recently. Just an insanely stacked class. I’m really excited to see where all these guys end up in the league, I think there are more than a few that will be pretty immediate difference makers.

I mean how many kids in this class would go ahead of Dylan Harper last year? Like 8?

The DP stuff is weird but with how many teams will be in the lottery that actually aren’t terrible (outside of the Kings) where it’s probably worth still taking him if you get him at #1 for how special he could be. Hawks, Thunder, Wizards, Pacers, Bucks, Mavs, and Grizzlies are all teams that could get the #1 pick and have enough going on where I’m taking DP no question if I get it.

Best case I get a generational player, worst case if I don’t love what I hear in pre-draft, trade out of the spot and get a massive haul and still get a future superstar potentially a couple spots down.

You mean at draft time or now after seeing Harper play?

Both!

I think at draft time it would maybe be 4-5, and now it’s crept up a little bit despite him not even being bad or anything.

I mean I was listening to a podcast the other day that said Flagg might only go 3rd or 4th in this draft.

I don’t know what podcast that was, but that’s a very minority opinion. Most draft analysts put Flagg behind only Wemby at the time of the draft in the past 10ish years, including this upcoming draft. Yes, ahead of Zion.

And that was a very stupid opinion on Flagg. Or maybe not - I heard the opinion too and it was couched as where he will be in 5-7 years vs these guys.
Havent seen any of these guys in his class defensively.

It was almost certainly on Bill Simmons or another ringer pod, but I do not remember which one offhand.

It was Jamal Mashburn. Not sure on what podcast, but I heard it discussed in another podcast how wacky it was
