Thanks!

There’s also the school’s official record book, part of the annual press kit:

Ugo getting drafted or even making a team this offseason will be great press for Odom. One of the few knocks on this staff is lack of success stories in development (not their fault as they’ve been at lower major programs) but this would certainly help, especially with luring the type of rim protectors we’ll want in the future. The development job they’ve done with him is truly impressive.

Max Shulga says hello.
Celtics 2nd pick last year - averaging 16/7/5 shooting 41% from 3 in the G League
Just signed a 2 year contract with the big club.

I saw that he just got a standard NBA contract with the Celtics the other day

Edit: now I gotta edit mine since you edited yours.. when previously it only said “Max Shulga says hello.”

Someone mentioned a UConn game at MSG but I don’t recall who the source was/confidence level

Should be a good home slate: Duke, VT, Louisville. Arkansas and Alabama had a home game last year for ACC/SEC so maybe they are due (though I suspect they don’t strictly alternate).

After today’s win, I’ll take everything after here as a bonus! Goal with the Odom hire was get back to the tournament and win a game in year 1 if possible. Mission achieved and let’s see how far we can keep this going!

I expect this team to go further but without moving the goal posts from pre-season expectations, this has been a great year and hope the expectations continue to be exceeded!

Already been a great season, but let’s keep it going just for fun, shall we?

Next goal is don’t lose to a double-digit seed. Cmon Tennessee, make that a guarantee

On top of breaking the 7 year curse, also a reminder that we won #30 today!! Amazing 1st season by Odom and the staff.

Agree to all, BUT, we all know how well this team can play and what could be accomplished. I just want them to go out playing their best (certainly not like yesterday - aside from Jacari). If our best loses to Tennessee or Iowas St best, so be it.

We have to win Sunday because we’ll never have a team as good as this one ever again. It’s all about the round of 32! (Tic)

Thought we played pretty well in the 2nd half yesterday honestly

Minus a few dumb turnovers, the second half was good basketball. I’m sure @Cuts_from_The_Corner knows better but we ran some pretty nice offensive sets with some good creative screens and also some looks to run some action through TDR. Odom also made some very smart defensive adjustments: we started switching a ton on the perimeter because our guards are strong enough to guard their 1-5

As an aside, if we have TDR for another year, I would love for us to figure out some ways to get the offense to run through him. He needs to work on the passing a bit.

Kinda what I was thinking. There were still bad turnovers, they got some offensive rebounds and seemingly more hustle plays by them. On offense it really wasn’t that pretty outside of the Jacari beater. TDR was basically lost outside of a few posessions.i will say he was better as a distributor and getting his own in the second half. It sure if intentional or not. D was def better but we’re gonna need to really focus on getting a body on guys . I’m. It really worries about the D, worried about the O against their size and physicality.

3 different times in the first 10mins of the 2nd half after a score and stop, so with momentum we turned it over. Grünloh threw it right to them, Sam dribbled into a triple team and Chance 5 sec call. That can not happen against Tenn. All really bad bball IQ plays.

Finally and have been beating this drum since VT, TDR needs to play 32mins plus. Really don’t want to see Tillis against Tenn. bad match up for him. Same for Chance if he looks poor in the first half. Need to ride the hot bands more than we usually do.

Agree that your tighten your rotation in March and ride you best veterans (sorry all you 2019 Huffers). Top 7 of Dallin, Malik, Jacari, Sam, TDR, Johann, and Ugo. Chance and Devin give minutes but less than you’d see mid season.

Our defensive intensity was there for most of second half, not all.

Agree that need to get TDR active low, not driving. Leave that to Sam, jacari, hall, chance. More TDR minutes, less Tillis.
