I think it’s great and scary at the same time that Odom rides the hot hand. I actually remember thinking why is Jacari out there instead of Lewis or Thomas right now? and that was like 30 seconds before Jacari hit the last big 3 lol
Yeah, overall I’ve been impressed by his in-game rotation management. I assume they have a pre-planned pattern for the first part of each half, but I think he’s made good calls when needing to go off-script. It’s kinda nice that Thomas/White/Lewis each offers distinctly different strengths and weaknesses, so he gets to play matchups too.
Hoos up to 15 in NET
Also 15 in WAB and could be top 10 with two wins this week
11 AP
12 Coaches
Miami at 29
NC State at 31
SMU at 32
This season is beyond what I thought was realistic
24-3, #11 in the AP poll
So freakin cool
Has there every been an ACC team with a 24-3 record and not been in the top 10 AP?
Clemson got close last season, were 24-5 and ranked #11 going into the last 2 regular season games. They got to #10 after winning both of those.
And then were a 5 seed interestingly enough.
I’m a fan of Evan’s work. The Hoos on this landscape (border of Final Four potential) seems fair to me. The codicil “when playing well” is spot on.
Yeah, that’s kinda disastrous. Somehow the best team is on one side of the bracket and the 2nd through 5th best teams are all on the other side.
So crunch time is basically Hall, Mallory, De Ridder, one of the Centers and one of Thomas/Lewis/White.
Using the Torvik team cast thing,
If we win out (+ Clemson, SMU, Duke in ACCT) - 2 seed/5 overall
If we lose out (+ SMU in ACCT) - 6 seed/24 overall
Since Tillis ‘ name has come up in a few threads, I’ll ask this question here: why don’t players wear knee pads anymore? It only took one bad knee bruise for me and I wore them always after that when playing basketball. I never noticed them inhibiting my performance. Of course, I wasn’t dunking either.
It was probably mentioned in the game thread, but beyond the Miami game being high-level basketball, it also was was a high-level crowd. I’ve been a bit disappointed with the crowds at many of the games - not with the noise but with the numbers. There still were some empty seats Saturday, but it was a large, loud and engaged crowd. Brought back some good JPJ memories and optimism for the future.
It’s gotten a lot more expensive since 2016
Prices are crazy anymore. Gotta wait until just a day or two out from the game to pull the trigger for best price on seat geek.
My dad and I will be there tomorrow night, ready to do our part lol
What’s better for us tonight, a UNC or Louisville win?
I’d rather see UNC than Louisville in the ACCT, so whichever increases the likelihood of them in our draw.
