According to playoff status it doesn’t seem to really matter

Louisville win would mean a 50% chance of UL in bottom half and 48% chance of UNC

UNC win would mean 51% chance of UL in bottom half and 42% chance of UNC

Other fun fact, according to playoff status we would have a 99% chance of finishing 1st or 2nd in the conference with a win tomorrow. Essentially to be determined by the Duke game.

IMac 24 mins on floor. Zero points.

Yeah, this probably belongs in the UVA Diarrhea thread but I-Mac seems to be a level below elite, especially athletic-wise. Against the better teams, he has trouble getting his shot. I love I-Mac as a kid/human being but, frankly, I’m glad he’s not on our current team

I just feel so bad for McKneely. He’s a man without a home.

I don’t think Virginia fans will really welcome him back in the future. And he’s not really giving Louisville fans much of a reason to view him as their guy. It’s just a tough situation all around.

I feel like you’re being a little harsh, he’s not the 1st or 2nd option. He’s shooting 43/40/90 which is about in line with last year, just on lower volume. Starting on a top 25 team.

He wasn’t on the floor down the stretch.

I know that many Louisville fans see him as contributing little, and want him benched.

That’s rough, but you know how die-hard fans can be.

I feel that way about a lot of guys these days. There are a bunch of Bennett era bench level guys I remember fondly and am rooting for in life because they were here 4+ years, but guys that transfer in or out to be 5th-8th men on teams that don’t make a real impact? Tough scenes.

casualty of the era

Ironically I remembered your post when I was watching Spurs @ Pistons that just ended maybe 20 minutes ago - Wemby was wearing knee pads.

For all the lackluster performance of last year, seven of those guys are now starters for other teams. IMac, Buchanan, and Rohde all are good role players on Top 25 teams (and Sharma is 6th man on Top 25 St Louis). Ames and Cofie are on decent teams. Saunders is on an awful team (Maryland) and Power moved down to Penn. But guys are having mostly successful roles in their new schools. I’m happy it has worked out for them.

If I were a Louisville fan I’d want Pat Kelsey to draw up better offensive sets, because whew man they are just one on one hero ball. They get away with it because of Conwell and Brown Jr., but man watching them I cant shake that they are wasting some of their talent, iMac included.

Like this stat for the guys when it comes to the NCAAs.

Man those Pitinos sure finish a job and pull out quick.

Reportedly sometimes not quick enough.

Was that ever a possibility? A guy that got fired at at Minnesota? He was behind quite a few other names in my mind

Pitino was somewhere on the list. Don’t know if he was a distant second or a close second (or maybe further down the list), but he was a candidate. Can’t recall fully, but I think Odom and Pitino have (or had) the same agent, so maybe that had something to do with it…?

Let’s be serious, Odom was the top candidate by far after the ungettables (if we even inquired into any ungettables). He would’ve had had to show up stoned to his interview to not get an offer. And I didn’t see any open job that he would’ve preferred to ours.

Looked up Eric Olen. He may have the Lobos dancing. Currently last in according to Bracket Matrix.

Led by three freshman (one’s a 23 y.o.international) and a couple of players from the non-D1 ranks. Really only one player with D1 experience (MWC).

He is going to be a name to watch.
