Sad i had to miss out on this game.
17 on the game now, so they improved a bit, and at least they have more Assists than TOs. Only hitting 50% of FTs, though. Close game late.
Edit - Hitting 44% now. If they could hit FTs, this game would be over.

I think they have hit 1 of 10 in the 4th so far… terrible FT shooting. Maybe 2.
Announcers just said no FGs in the past 5 minutes for either team. Not a good game.

GT is hitting 27% from the floor on the game. I’m going to assume UVA has been playing great D.

I mean, in the last minute or so, we’ve see UVA go 1/4, which means they were a blistering 7/14 prior to that. Ugh.

GT just had a steal then break away and two players both missed wide open lay-ups. When UVa finally caught up they got the rebound on the second awful missed lay-up.

In-conference road wins are always valuable. Plus, GT’s somehow 2-2 in the ACC including a win over ranked ND so this might be a better win than GT’s record suggests.
Edit - Yeah, holy moly, GT had a rock-crusher of an OOC slate. Georgia, St Johns, Florida, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Princeton (currently leading the Ivy and ranked), and Jacksonville (3rd in ASun).

Per Torvik, we’ve finally turned the corner on WAB – that number is positive for the first time all year (at 0.1). (The UMBC loss by itself was -0.98, and prior to these last 2 weeks we hadn’t done anything meaningful to claw that back.)
I also see that 9 of our 11 remaining games are against teams he rates at #53 or better. It’s about to get real!

Our Torvik game scores are all good (89 or higher)….until you get to that UMBC game score of 5. Just because I like kicks to the junk, I looked up our 2018 loss to UMBC and that was an 8.

The distribution of game scores is a little different in WBB on Torvik. For example, #20 USC women have a Barthag (essentially average game score) of .9829 while the #20 Iowa men are at .9294.
