Only two State players currently in the portal, but not guys we know.
I would hope for aidan teel boomerang.
@KarlHess @UVApride7 any word?
No real clues yet. No announcement made from what I’ve seen yet either.
Gimme Chase Swift fr VPI. Elite lefty reliever (he’s probably headed SEC).

Picked up a portal commit from Serigne Sarre, 6’4, 225 lbs. rising third year LHP from Mount St. Mary’s.
Was 2nd team All-MAAC this season, in 14 appearances and 13 starts he went 4-4 with a 4.11ERA. 70 IP, 68 H, 33 BB, 90 K’s and 19 XBH’s. Also had a solid 2025 season as a starter for them.
Seems like Pollard and Kirkpatrick aren’t gonna let a lack of LHP options be an issue for us next season lol. This is more what I expected our pitching staff to look like.
I’ll take it!!! Hoping we land a 3B stud. I know the Yale dude can play it, but I want a proven dude.
Sarre’s walks are a little higher than you’d like to see but Kirkpatrick should be able to dial that in.
He’s on the roster of the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks in the NECBL for summer league play.
Do we have anyone playing on the Cape this summer? Assume we’re no longer going to be so tied in to Harwich anymore.
taking insome games at the cape cod league is on my bucket list.
Busy night for the infield:
Seems pretty solid to me! Wonder where RJ Holmes plays with us bringing in a SS and 2B.
Elko is the son of the CFB coach for those curious
His dad wanted our job more than the Duke one!! They’re fans of central VA I guess.
All seem like good pickups. Pleased with the pitchers incoming so far too.
I don’t follow the rest of the sport super closely, but seems like a strong class so far?
What’s interesting is that Elko can also catch, wonder if he sees some time there especially when Giordano is pitching given they have some familiarity. Richmond as a team had a pretty high success rate in terms of throwing out runners so could be something to keep in mind.
Howard started as a freshman and put up some really solid numbers on a WKU team that went 46-14, then from what I gather missed about a month of this past season dealing with a hand injury. Seems like contact over power, really low K rate, a threat to steal some bases and is solid defensively.
Common themes with the hitters we’ve added so far via the portal is lower K%, better speed and better defense. Still missing a couple power bats though. Hopefully that comes via our 3rd base and corner OF pickups.
Preston Willett on The Sabre said that there’s some more commits to come that just haven’t been announced yet.
Not necessarily a complete list by any means but what I am tracking (and they may not have reported yet)….
Harwich: Sam Harris
Orleans: Zach Jackson, Max Stammel, Jayden Stroman (portal)
Cotuit: RJ Holmes
