I have a couple of sources on Tennessee hoops. English was not well liked by a lot of people there. It might be coincidence but their last team when English was around was fractured (Spring/Keon).

Fractured? How so? I know they werenā€™t very good. Springer, and especially Johnson, were drafted on potential alone. Keon was a helluva athlete, but he was a train wreck offensively. Springerā€™s game was a little more refined but he didnā€™t have the athleticism as Johnson. That team was really offensively challenged.

I heard he will NOT be an option to return. He pissed off a lot of people and is generally a butthole. I think he and Barnes are still good but because of the other stuff not a fit to return.

At the end of the day, if Barnes wants him back, and KE wants to come back, heā€™ll be back. Rick has a lot of political clout right now and heā€™s not at all afraid to use it.

I heard one on XM94 college sports today. Great interview. Nothing new revealed other than the breaking news about the hiring of Autry and Odom talking about his long-time friendship with him.

Thanks for linking this. I feel like we as fans donā€™t listen to what Coach Odom was hammering home during that whole interview and the one on XM94 about the huge importance of character in the success of a program. Without going on and on about this, Iā€™ll hold out Exhibit A: N.C. State vs UVA.

Wether someone is well-liked or not is mostly subjective. From all indications, Barnes loves him.

Not sure how much being liked by whoever heā€™s talking about has influence over an assistant coaching position. A lot of people arenā€™t very fond of Danny White. So what?

So our staff now includes the coach of UMBC 2019 and a coach of Syracuse 2016 ā€“ and as a bonus, they both coached at VT.

I wasnā€™t being serious. I canā€™t imagine Melo taking his kid out of a school that heā€™s donated millions to and named buildings after him and that is now coached by an old teammate. Also, it doesnā€™t look like Anthony can actually shoot.

Iā€™m trying to think of sons of all time great NBA players who were great themselves and am coming up blank. I can think of dozens of examples from football, baseball and hockey though.
