One thing Iā€™m very excited about is how huge this team is. Weā€™ll trot out Nolan, Sam, TDR, and Johann and just when teams think theyā€™re getting a break, we have Anya and Vide coming in. Harmon and Ibe not slouches size wise either. Last year we lost a fair bit of size going to the bench when we subbed in Chance, Jacari, and Tillis. Those guys had other skills to make up for it obviously but this year we should be able to just be so physical. Iā€™m not sure there will be many, if any teams, that could trot out a full second lineup thatā€™s as strong and physical as Vide, Dixon, Harmon, Anya, and Ibe.

I would love to know which comedian does the closed captions for Field of 68. Every time the guys mention Thijs de Ridder you get ā€œKadin Shedrickā€ in the subtitles. Johann GrĆ¼nloh shows up as ā€œJayden Gardner.ā€

Printing a retraction - Iā€™d said somewhere that Vide took 9 threes last year, had confused that with his prior season - or maybe his EuroBasket run in 2025 where he also took 9 threesā€¦ somewhere. He took 29 against DI last year. Not crazy different but not quite as extreme as Iā€™d painted it.

Last year entertainment value was Jacari and Ugoā€¦ and a little Chance.
Just donā€™t wanna watch guys like Hall eat up minutes - boring and a recipe for another first weekend exit. I want to watch guys who can actually do stuff and make plays look easy.

Tickets for the DC UVa-Arkansas game appear to be on sale with the presale unlock code GAZ26 btw

picked up a few in the 200s for $156 apiece this morning. No idea if a better deal was available through the school or anything.
