Genuinely suprised. Their were 2 knocks on Miller while he was at X 1) he was always eyeing a bigger job (proved to be true) 2)he ran a dirty program. By dirty I mean the players got into academic trouble with thw school. And two were arrested one on an assault charge from a bar fight and one as part of a big drug bust. For a program that prided itself on being clean and graduating players (remember DWest graduated while Miller was an ast on staff) that’s the type pf attention the school hated.
Now 13 yrs removed. Miller cleaely hasnt learned his lesson leaving Arizona in a cloud of shame. And I’d bet big money he’d jump ship again of a power 5 came calling.

Also don’t know that I’d seen this posted here yet. Also not sure how I feel about it. Feels a little underwhelming, but maybe good fit? I just don’t know much about him - hadn’t followed Seton Hall closely.

My buddy that is unfortunately a Terp said the base is underwhelmed. See it as Turgeon 2.0, a mediocre career coach with no upside and no history of being able to recruit at the right level. His quote “he’ll do the absolute minimum to not get fired”

Maryland fans desperately want the next Gary Williams to show up, but they seem to forget they got frustrated with Gary towards the end and forced him into an early retirement. Maryland fans are an odd bunch.

Yeah, and most Virginia fans were underwhelmed when Tony was hired. Sometimes, the fan base isn’t the most accurate evaluator of talent.
