Odom adapts a ton to the strengths of his roster. Even last years VCU team was pretty different offensively. I think his general principles though will adapt to the high major level
Strong finish for VCU. A little worried about foul trouble.
VCU fans are certainly gonna be disappointed by losing Odom but man they at least got a fun team this final year with him. Very rarely do I feel like they don’t have control of the game. Just a bunch of older, incredibly savvy and skilled players. I’m sure Odom’s having a blast coaching them
Odom made the right choice going with Jack Clark over Tobi Lawal with their limited NIL situation.
Clarks been on fire for like the last 10 games too
Any chance that Lawal comes to Cville?
I mean they were ass this year, but a lighter shade of ass according to him.
All time quote
British Mamadi is someone I need to see in a UVA uniform.
I’d take 3 years of Bamgboye over 1 of Lawal.
Kentucky is all over Lawal.
Also not sure how he feels about Odom going with Jack Clark over him NIL wise.
I’ve read hype on this board about VCU’s offense, but after watching the last two games of this tournament, I think it’s dog shit. Really relies on 1-on-1 action which won’t work with a talent gap in the ACC.
Think its more reflective of the roster he has. He has a lot of downhill athletes. VCU is also one of the better assist rate teams. And they moved the ball well at UMBC and Utah St.
Seems to be more freer this year but Odom was pretty scheme heavy at Utah St and UMBC.
His Utah St teams were better offense than defense teams. His VCU teams are better defense than offense according to Kenpom
Wow what a meltdown. He will fit right in in CVille
this part
Odom knows when to call a timeout at least….
This is all on Fermin. Looks scares to shoot.
Not the best time to say this and obviously matchups are everything but this VCU team has the profile of one that advances in NCAAs…
They might not make it if they lose here lol
Tony Skinn, you had my curiosity. But now you have my attention.
