Not sure what to think of this one

ACC isn’t getting much respect this year

For real. This one is crazy

Just the way we like it. stay under the radar for this team

Probably only 2 seed to ever win as ugly as we do. Our offense does not scare any opponent or impress any voters/ranking algorithms.

Agree with @trips19581 @DFresh11 and @AyeJPJ. All in all I wouldn’t pay much attention to seeding etc at this point. If the Hoos want to move up beyond a 6 seed they can by going out and winning the ACC Tournament. I honestly don’t think any of it makes a difference to their ceiling in regards to performance in the NCAA

For this year’s team under the radar is likely better. This is not a powerhouse team that is going to blow anyone out the gym. Catching teams off guard is their best option. The optics of this year’s team are horrible. The offense is so streaky that it’s difficult to look at them on paper and have any fear. It’s nice winning tight games, but it also means you are always one or two plays away from losing those games and any tournament team is going to back themselves and assume they can make that shot.

'07 team with Sean Singletary was 11-5/21-11 and a #2 seed in ACCT. Lost the first game and went into the tournament as a #4.

That team also had the best back court in the country tho

Certainly better than an 8-8/21-11 Duke team that lost as a 7 seed, went into NCCA a 6, and was upset by VCU an 11 seed

We are the Rodney Dangerfield of the ACC

I’m in agreement. This has been a strong close to the season, but looking at the whole season and comparing historically, the resume is pretty much in line with a 5th-8th seed in the NCAAT (link if you want to look at it yourself). The depth in the ACC is not as strong as previous seasons, going by the various predictive ranking systems (KenPom, Bart Torvik, etc.), so the resume isn’t going to be as strong as the resume this kind of conference performance would have yielded last year or the year before.

What a crazy year with the top 25 polls. Seton hall has 2 more loses, in their last 9 games they’ve lost 4 times and still ranked ahead of UVA.

Seton Hall is a tough match up. Not enough attention is being paid to the Big East. That conference is playing really good basketball.

Wasn’t JR Reynolds injured that game?

Interesting way of visualizing the NET

Sorry… meant to add the instructions to read it: To put together the charts below, we calculated a Quad value for each game using the most recent KenPom rankings . Wins are green, losses in red, and to-be-played in black. The size of each circle is the point margin of the game.

Too many tiny bubbles is why the NET is so mean to us.

Actually I should say too many tiny green bubbles. NET Likes Big green bubbles. Since our offense is not our strength this year, big green bubbles are hard to come by.
