You quoted me, then corrected me.
But, you are right about your opinion, and your right to it. I think I misunderstood what you said. I apologize.
I’ve been especially cranky today. Don’t intend to be that way.

Watched some tape of Clemson today. They are a complete team and well put together with positional strength.
Girard gives them a spacing element they haven’t had in a while… a guy you just can’t leave at all.
He had an easy 25 points on 10 FGA and didn’t have to force a single shot.
Ian S got 17 rebounds… dude will make his guy have to intentionally box him out every single time.
Wiggins can be a difference maker.
Oh and Hall is probably the front runner for Player of the Year so far.
Hall is a freaking beasttttt
two huge freshman steals for GT. neither highly regarded out of HS.
Gosh, who does he remind you of? Ryan, don’t you be sneaking off and playing with the opposition. You need to be resting.
Clemson will be an interesting matchup. I think we are going to make life miserable for their perimeter players, but Hall and Godfrey will be tough covers. With Hemenway out, they are light on quality perimeter players. They are still searching for a third perimeter guy who can be in their best lineup; I don’t think Clark or Wiggins have been particularly effective so far.
Long way to go until we play them, but as of right now, I think Dunn should draw the Hall assignment. There’s an argument for wanting to keep Dunn in more of a helper role, but I think that’s probably overthinking it?
I absolutely agree with this. PJ Hall is a significant matchup problem for pretty much any team. He is a threat from 3 then he kills teams down low, and he is the beginning.
My only issue is that they haven’t been tested in a significant way. Perhaps I am wrong; probably am, but we will see how they do with TCU at home, then at Memphis. We will know more then. I am looking forward to those games.
Mentioning Louisville dead last in the “Bottom Third” section with this line: “ And Louisville has already matched last season’s win total. Progress.”
Absolutely stone cold @HoozGotNext
Just read this on salaries at Virginia Universities… Whit has the second highest salary of ALL Virginia public university employees… shocked!
Virginia Tech’s athletic director, Whit Babcock, received the second-highest salary, earning $975,559.
A couple alternatives to the AP poll:
Duke at 19 is hilarious. Every other program is out after their week
24th and 25th, respectively.
I know rankings don’t mean a lot, but they are a good way to gauge what the national media is thinking. Fanta is very high on Clemson.
I agree. Not sure why he kept Duke in and at such a high rank. I suppose because, you know…Duke.
ACC NET Rankings out:
ACC
Clemson 18
UVA 27
UNC 32
Duke 37
NCSU 53
Pitt 60
Miami 63
VT 74
BC 96
FSU 107
WF 133
Cuse 140
GT 142
ND 238
UL 279
Well, based on that I suppose I stand corrected regarding Clemson.
Take aways. UVA is in good shape, if we take care of business. The 1st NET ranking is always a bit nerve wracking.
Clemson as expected has the highest NET ranking so far. Despite 2 good wins this week GT has a hole to climb out of. It is funny that progress for Louisville is having a NET of 279 this year vs being in the 300s most of last year.
From the morass in the middle of the league, BC/FSU/WF/Cuse/GT have work to do to become legitimate NCAA at-large contenders. NCSU/Pitt/VT arent in bad shape if they can avoid bad losses and pick up some quality wins in league play.
Let’s hope those quality wins aren’t against us.
I imagine Miami fans are mad at the first NET ranking but they’ve been kinda bleh with two stinkers: the too-close-for-comfort win against a very bad FIU team, and an uncompetitive loss against a solid-but-not-great Kentucky team.
