Well you see people assume Ryan is a three point specialist because he looks the stereotype. Kinda lanky not super athletic white dude. But he’s not in reality.
So I referenced the line from I Have a Dream speech to highlight that misplaced stereotype.
The juxtaposition of the seriousness of MLK’s speech with the silliness of the white 3 point specialist stereotype was the joke.

True story: I was in London for the 2012 Olympics (as a reporter, not a competitor) and a colleague took me to a gym in a part of the city that I ordinarily would not frequent without an escort. I was the only guy in the gym who was older than 30, the only guy shorter than 6-foot-4, and, of course, the only white guy.
I’m not a shooter; my game is banging inside. But every time I touched the ball, my teammates yelled at me to shoot. Because they figured a short, old, unathletic white guy must have a good shot. Otherwise, why the hell would he even be out there?

Wake’s NET now at 36… we need them to get that up to Top 30 so our home game against them is Q1. Meanwhile we’re at 32, so they’re probably thinking the same thing about us.

This link is interesting as it calculates the rest of the ACC schedule… you can change your predictions too. Not sure what the defaults are derived from, probably NET, couldn’t find it.
The defaults only have Virginia losing to Duke and UNC the rest of the way…
