GAMES TO WATCH

Clemson - Georgia
Killer test for Clemson week 1. Don’t expect them to win, but keeping it close will bode well for the rest of the season.

Miami - Florida
Both fan bases will be holding their collective breathes to see what kind of teams they have this season. Hoping to see a good Miami team take the field.

BC - FSU
The Seminoles need an impressive bounce back game if they want to stay in the playoff conversation.

GAMES TO CHECK THE SCORE AT HALF

Ohio - Syracuse
I’m high on this Syracuse squad. Hoping they found the right transfer pieces to upset some folks this season.

UNC - Minnesota
Props to UNC for starting the season away, against a BIG 10 opponent. A loss wouldn’t kill UNC’s season, but it would def get them off on the wrong foot.

Georgia State - GT
Want to see if GT is legit and able to push lesser competition around.

LOCK OF THE WEEK
Taking VT to cover. As much as want to be wrong, VT is going to def beat Vandy by two scores.

I like it more people getting in on picking games. Good stuff.

Atlanta is going to be crazy over the weekend with UGa playing in their second home and the Yellow Jacket fans have been out nonstop since last week

Wake Forest apparently hasn’t named a starting QB yet, so you think covering -32.5 might be difficult if they split snaps and one QB has an off night. I’d take NC A&T.

TCU only getting -9.5 against Stanford is enticing, but not sure how good they are going to be this year.

Full disclosure, I don’t bet on games, as I would lose all my money.

Might not matter honestly, NC A&T went 1-10 last season and is picked to finish 14th in the CAA. I could see Wake winning that one something like 45-10.

Have to hope Wake beating up on maybe the worst team in FCS last year, whereas at least we play a good FCS program, has them less prepared for us in Week 2? Wishful thinking, I’m sure.

That’s one of those lines I wouldn’t touch feels like a set up. This Wake team blowing anyone out hy 33 seems high. A&T is also juat awful enough that it could happen. Toss in a possible tandem QB situation and it’s too many moving pieces for me.

ESPN app is such a pain in the ass to use. Took me 20 minutes to be able to access the Wake/NCA&T game.

What’s the play tonight? I’m thinking of grabbing UNC -1.5. Stab in the dark, I know nothing.

NC State and W Carolina tied at 14 at the half. I expect State to get it figured out in the second and pull away.

Just like Wake is trying to do, up 14 early in the third quarter.

And … UNC is moving the ball well on their first drive.

Wake pulling away finally.

Man I wish we could’ve landed Demond Claiborne.

Can’t even watch the UNC/Minnesota game, my Fox stream is stuck on a never ending loop of flash flood warnings.

Think we’re gonna finally find out what a Mack Brown team looks like without an elite QB. Johnson has not been impressive.

UNC with 93 total yards of offense heading into halftime.

Wake ends up winning by 32.

Think Max Johnson UNC’s QB might have just blew out his knee. Replay did not look good.
