Talk on the 247 board from Mikeysurf was apparently our administration doesn’t wanna play at WVU because of bad experiences with their fanbase in the past.
We’ll get back there someday. Just sucks that bowl games (outside of the playoffs) have lost all value. They’ve always been kinda meaningless, but now with the playoffs and the transfer portal opening up in Dec before bowl games starts, you’re gonna see more and more players opting out or heading into the portal. Leaving bowl games to be glorified JV scrimmages.
If the 2032 game does happpen, I wonder if there is a way to move this game to the yet-to-be-constructed new Commanders stadium that will hopefully be in DC.
I mean we ain’t dead! I was there 40 years ago and hell yeah I’d go again in a heartbeat. I do remember our players being pissed about dirty Mounty play but I don’t remember having bottles or whatnot tossed at my noggin. Probably wouldn’t have felt an impact anyhow based on the amount of moonshine consumed prior, during, and after.

Also, if I remember correctly, there was a curfuffle about Pep Band behavior when the ‘Eers were in Charlottesville so maybe neither team wants a home and home.
