VT was favored by 20 which felt massive
I could still see them winning by that much. Marshallâs Air Raid is having trouble getting anything going and their drives are ending quick. Eventually keeping their defense on the field that often is gonna bite them.
Then again VT looks just as bad lol.
Whoâs on the Dr. Pepper commercial with Boz? âI donât need a backup QB, even if he has great hairâ, or something like that?
Quin Ewers, Texas. Heâs referencing Arch Manning.
Va Tech is not good. The defense soft.
How did everyone misjudge them?
Similar to SMU, the âon-paperâ game can be dead wrong in reality. On paper theyâve got a solid duat-threat QB, playmakers at WR, a good RB in Tuten and players who have graded out highly in the secondary with Delane/Strong/Stroman. They finished last season strong, but much like SMU how much of that was just them beating bad teams.
In reality having all those playmakers doesnât matter if your OC and OL are subpar, and honestly I think Delane might be overrated at Corner. Front 7 hasnât impressed either, Powell-Ryland is a great pash rusher but struggles in run defense and their linebackers donât do a good job of filling gaps up the middle.
If Cal beats Auburn does that mean the ACC > SEC?
NIU with the quick kick on 4th and 7 against ND. Canât remember the last time I saw that.
Hokesters just experienced Beamerball. Great call by Marshall.
Oh snap Isaac Mckneelyâs boy with the touch down (I remember that name from Mckneelyâs hs clips and then the announcer mentioned Poca dots)
Other than Tuten it seems like the whole team is soft.
VT got away with multiple pushes on the sidelines there.
NIU cosch Thomas Hammock is jumping up my list as a coach to watch. Love the agression and creative playcalling
Was looking into him earlier, he has an interesting resume. NFL experience and was an elite RB coach at Wisconsin. He was there during the Monte Ball/James White/Melvin Gordon years.
Itâs tough to judge because generally speaking over the past 20 years NIU has been a very well ran mid major football program and his success in comparison has been mixed. But his rushing attack is very well schemed.
Cal is getting hosed by SEC refs.
What a joke. Two bogus PI calls keep Auburn in the game.
The way heâs called this game. The aggressiveness going for multiple 4th downs. Somw interesting movements well coached group to walk into south bend and play this well.
Mendoza just tweaked his knee on a non-contact play going towards the sidelines. Not sure how serious it is.
Cal just intercepted an Auburn pass and shockingly didnât get called for PI. Not because it wasnât clean, but because this is not acceptable for the SEC narrative. Cal just needs to stop Auburn from scoring a TD in the last 30 seconds.
